Rodrigues without a doubt has a style all his own, composed of electronica, house, dance, funk, and jazz, and this album puts that style on full display. The listener will certainly experience a sort of serenity while listening to "Micro Talk," as he takes listeners on a journey filled with layer upon layer of beautiful sounds mixed with warm, but active, grooves and beats. The sequences are all very tight and the production is of very high quality. "Blue Ball" kicks things off, and to say it is funky would be a tremendous understatement. It's an excellent introduction track that gives the full taste of the style of tracks to come. "Mr. G" pulls things back a bit and gives you more of a deep house vibe while still maintaining Rodrigues' style. The title track "Micro Talk" wraps things up and features some clever horn work and a bit of sex appeal. Those that enjoy discovering unique electronica artists with a multitude of influences will love "Micro Talk" and should waste no time in picking this one up.
